Tracey and team are in luxurious Luxor - in "relative comfort". Heading for Cairo soon.
As we said before, Mary Heath flew the 700 miles from from Wadi Halfa  to Cairo in one marathon nine hour flight. "I was too lazy to come down and look for  the aerodrome at Assuit: indeed I was not sure exactly where it was, as I was flying on an extremely small map - a page torn from an atlas - so I went on for Cairo."
