Cape Town to Goodwood Day 13: the Serengeti

Spirit of Artemis reached Arusha in northern Tanzania  yesterday - a city of around 1.2 million surrounded by some of Africa's most famous landscapes and national parks - the Serengeti, Lake Manyara and Mount Kilimanjaro.
The day had started with birdsong in Mwanza at 6am - at the side of Lake Victoria where Lady Heath had toasted Mussolini all those years ago (In the mid-1920s, Italy had one of the most progressive air fleets in the world and Mussolini hadn't yet shown his fascist colours...).
Expect to see wonderful film from this stretch of the journey featuring wildebeest, giraffe, elephant, zebra, buffalo.
Now for Kenya!
Lady Heath's route -
Mar 5 -Abercorn (Mbala), Zambia
Mar 7 - Tabora,Tanzania
Mar 8 - Mwanza, Tanzania
Mar 14 - Nairobi, Kenya
Mar 22 - Kisumu, Kenya
Mar 29 - Mongella
Mar 30 -Malakal, South Sudan
