With the chase plane now returned to Nairobi, Tracey will undertake the final few legs of her journey to England alone, landing - weather depending - in Goodwood next Monday.

In her final days of flying Mary Heath flew from Marseilles to Dijon, after toying with the idea of stopping at Lyons. She found it both physically and mentally exhausting as she groped her way through clouds and bad weather, following the river Rhone when she could. That when the weather was certain to be a lot better than in December...
